Scientists from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia discovered what color protects from UV light best.
In the experiment they first analyzed protection properties of three major colors (red, blue and yellow) by using a software program and then studied how well cotton fabric of these colors absorbs UV light.
They found that blue cotton fabric is best at protecting from sunlight, while a yellow one was the worst. Scientists recommend that clothing makers use the “sun proof” color more often.
