Scientist from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Great Britain) remind us that 20 to 35 is the optimal age for a woman to give childbirth.
They conducted a large study and proved that the chances of miscarriage, stillbirth, caesarean section, and childbirth complications increase substantially after the woman is 35. Moreover, a woman under 35 has 31 per cent chances of having a successful invitro fertilization (IVF), while women over 42 have less then 5 per cent.
The scientists were inspired to conduct this study after noticing the current tendency to have children at 35-45, after the woman has already made her career and got married.
Obstetricians advise women not to try to play with nature by delaying childbirth.
