Japanese researchers discovered honesty and nobility are born qualities rather than acquired. It has emerged that moral excellence comes from our brain. Specifically, it depends on the activity of a region in the right cerebral hemisphere, which is responsible for intuition and emotions, reports the journal Science.
The findings were based on a study of two groups of people who drastically differed in behavior and character. One group included selfish and greedy persons. The other possessed persons with a high sense of social responsibility.
The study found that noble persons have this important quality by birth. It further showed that the area in the brain responsible for nobility was virtually inactive in the persons from the first group.
