New generation high-accuracy atomic clocks have helped to clarify that Einstein‘s principles of relativity of space and time is observed on usual human scale of physical quantities, according to an article published recently in the journal Science.
Authors of the article who are researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (USA) were able to show that due to the effect of reduced gravity, time of life flows a little faster for a person living on the second floor of an apartment building than that of someone that lives on the ground floor. Similarly, someone who is hurrying to work in the morning on transport ages slower than his counterpart who prefers walking due to differences in speed.
Despite the fact that the revealed difference in the speed of movement is expressed in only a few femtoseconds (one millionth of one billionth of a second), its reliably established presence is another confirmation of Einstein’s general relativity.
