The study published in the Biological Sciences Journal of the British Royal Society may seem ridiculous at first glance: it turns out that the longer the ring finger on the man’s hand is, the more attractive he is for women.
However, the scientists have tried to explain it. Firstly, the length of the ring finger and how longer it is than the forefinger determines the level of testosterone during the period of pre-natal development. Secondly, the scientists from the University of Geneva, led by Camille Ferdenzi, have found that, indeed, women prefer men with longer ring fingers. Such preferences are associated with women’s unconscious desire to find the most courageous man.
