The scientists have claimed that anger is one of the basic human emotions, and it is typical of both women and men. The experiments which are repeatedly carried out by experts, show that both sexes have an identical mechanism of expressing negative emotions. However, life has shown that the demonstration of anger, coming from a man or a woman, is perceived in different ways as the Science journal suggests.
In particular, the psychologists prove that an angry man makes a strong impression on others and seems to be a determined man with an active lifestyle. However, a woman in anger, on the contrary, is perceived as an uninhibited and scandalous person with a disgusting character.
Similar conclusions have been made by the experts during a simple experiment: the actors of both sexes were hired and asked to act out a situation in which they angrily demanded that their boss should raise their salary. Volunteers who witnessed the process were to evaluate their behavior. The overwhelming majority of respondents felt that the angered representatives of the stronger sex had conveyed the sensation of assertiveness, strength, and determination, but the ladies, who demanded the increase in their salary with their voice raised, were unanimously called brawlers, who could not control themselves, were hysterical and incompetent.
The study in the Science journal has also shown that women tend to feel ashamed for showing their anger, while men consider it perfectly natural for them.
