When stars become designers and start sewing clothes, one should be ready for a trouble. And when they imagine themselves to be talented designers, who are worth having a full-fledged fashion show of their collection instead of simply selling their creations quietly in the clothing stores of fashion-retailers, there comes a real disaster.
The most striking examples are either Lindsay Lohan’s short period at the position of a designer for Emanuel Ungaro (the French brand still can not recover from this experience and has recently announced changing a designer once again) or a collection by Kanye West that has been recently presented at the Fashion Week in Paris.
Even the fashion-critics, who are quite conciliatory towards the undoubtedly talented musician, have agreed that Kanye West has surely failed the attempt to conquer the fashion world. The collection created by the rapper (with the support of authoritative representatives of the British fashion industry), is difficult to describe in one word. The presented items look so diverse, ill-conceived, and completely unsuitable for the idea of real clothes that they really seem to be a failure.
Leather and fur for the spring-summer season, huge cleavages of unknown purpose, chaotic cutouts, and shiny leggings in a combination with bright sporty tops make the collection completely unsuccessful.
