According to the studies carried out by the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, any woman can easily get rid of excess belly fat if she follows a recently developed technique.

The scientists claim that it is necessary to eat two small apples, a cup of green peas and half a cup of beans for this purpose. In addition, one should be actively engaged in sports for 30 minutes two to four times per week.

According to the experts, many vegetables, fruits, and legumes actually help to reduce the so-called visceral or belly fat, due to their high content of soluble fiber. One of the leading authors of the study, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Kristen Hairston, stresses that she and her colleagues have noticed that the increase in daily intake of soluble fiber per 10 grams results in a reduction of visceral fat by 3.7% over five years.

In addition, the decrease in the rate of accumulation of visceral fat by an average of 7.4% was recorded among the volunteers during the same period of time. According to Dr. Hairston, the high level of belly fat, in its turn, significantly increases the risk of such diseases as diabetes, fatty liver disease or hypertension. These data have been obtained by the experts by means of observing 1114 volunteers of both genders, different ages and nationalities in the course of five years.
