The time when many women quit dieting has been calculated. As estimated by the British experts, this is the period of 5 weeks, 2 days and 43 minutes. 13% of women managed to keep to a diet during the period of 13 weeks or more, 19% gave up after a month, 8% dropped everything after just a week, and 16% could diet only during 2 weeks.
The women are usually tempted to drop their dietary habits because of candies, cookies, and cakes. 48% gave up under the pressure of chocolate, 31% failed resisting chips, 26% started to eat bread and cheese, and 23% quitted dieting because of wine. 59% of the women admitted that it had been difficult for them to stick to a diet because of craving for the most harmful products, 42% just liked to eat, and 30% of the women complained of a very depressed mood as a result of dietary restrictions.
According to the survey, women tend to start dieting for the first time at the age of 26, but one in three women does it earlier – from the age of 15 to 20 years.
The best motivations to lose weight include the woman’s photo or a reflection in a mirror. The most powerful incentive for some ladies was the question: “What month of pregnancy are you in?” Some women began thinking about losing weight to keep a partner or improve sex life.
