If the Big Brother watches us, the PETA animal rights organization watches the celebritites, who are dressed in fur. Therefore, neither Lady Gaga’s new fur coat nor Rihanna‘s new snakeskin shoes remained unnoticed by the vigilant eye.
As expected, the reaction was immediate and very emotional. It was noted that Rihanna and Lady Gaga were trying hard to be “freaks” and did not strive to make people value them for their creativity and talents. Involuntarily there comes a question if they understand that they are just being laughed at?
“Wearing reptile skin is creepy and callous, and it makes her look even more out of touch.”
“Rihanna may not have a clue that snakes killed for boots are often nailed to a tree and skinned alive. Of course, they can’t go on Oprah to cry about it.”
(Here we have in mind the recent TV show, where Rihanna burst into tears, saying that she still loved Chris Brown and remembering the beatings she had to go through while being with him)
Rihanna has already sinned before (well, she really loves bright clothes!), but Lady Gaga‘s reputation has not been spoiled before, and she even deserved the approval on the part of PETA when she said:
“I hate fur and I don’t wear fur.”
However, “the queen of monsters” could not resist having a pink fur coat. The animal advocates are indignant:
“These recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia. What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it’s fake, or are you a turncoat?”
Gaga cast no light on the origin of the fur, but she did not remain silent either, making a stinging comment in Twitter:
“To those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don’t forget to credit the designer Hermes”
The war has begun!
