Katie Holmes clearly doesn’t mean to let her manifold talents lie fallow. Being an actress is fine, but this year she is resolved to expand into new areas. First we heard her rendition of “So You Think You Can Dance”- she even went so far as to throw in some shimmying. The latest one is that Katie Holmes wants to stake off a nice spot for herself in the world of fashion – maybe taking a leaf out of the book of her one-time friend Victoria Beckham.
For the purpose of launching a “premium designer” line Katie teamed up with her stylist Jeanne Yang. Talking to InStyle, Yang said that their preoccupation with designing started a while ago, with the two mothers happily inventing styles “for friends and their children.” Now comes the time for the whole wide world to join in with their friends in praise of the new collection, Holmes & Yang!
The clothes line will introduce only women’s and kids’ clothes, and no matter how high praise will run the prices are expected to be higher, judging by the stores that are ready to extend their windows to the collection – like the Los Angeles celeb shopping favorite Maxfield’s.
