Having reached the age of 29, Beyoncé seems to be experiencing a shifting of priorities. Did you think of her as a mother? Maybe because she didn’t think of herself as one. But now she does.
Talking with In U.S. Style, the singer confessed that her mind is running the family way. She has done well careerwise, she said, but as she is approaching thirty, she would like to take time off work and have children. She devoted the energy and drive of her young years to her work, but now she means to make way for her other longings. “Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage,” Beyoncé shared, adding that she wants to have kids and become as successful as mother as she is as artist and designer.
Meanwhile the designer trait is at its zenith, and Beyoncé recently finished modeling a new collection from the House of Deréon, the fashion line she is running with her mother. She does not look much like a mother in her shots where she poses in French knickers and long lace socks. Next month, scheduled to coincide with the New York Fashion Week, the House of Deréon debuts in the UK, and the 29-year-old is preparing for her appearance at London’s famous department store Selfridges’.
The family line that has been in existence since 2004 was named for Beyoncé’s grandmother Agnez Deréon, and its slogan refers to the Knowles women of three generations – “Couture.Soul.Kick” stands for mother Tina, granny Agnez, and the Run the World (Girls) singer herself.
The UK launch collection will include clothing from the star’s personal wardrobe, to the delight of her British fans, and will sell at prices from £80 up. Mother Tina told they were very proud of the collection and were looking forward to the response.
