According to gynecologists from the Boston University, US, consuming a lot of dairy products may reduce the risk of uterine fibroid.
The study involved over 59,000 of women in America. Over the period of observation, 6,000 of them developed uterine fibroid. As the scientists set out to pinpoint possible protection from the disease, they found that the risk was significantly reduced by dairy products.
Scientists say that those women who ate dairy products had their risk of uterine fibroid reduced by 30 percent. According to gynecologists, one of the greatest health benefits of milk is that it provides calcium and magnesium. On the other hand, dairy products contain animal fats that may boost cholesterol levels so the scientists started developing calcium-containing medicine for uterine fibroid prevention.
