Banana, the Natural Antidepressant


Banana is a storehouse of energy, vitamins and enzymes, such as sucrose, glucose and lactose. Banana also has healing properties, and is recommended for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and arthritis, for the normalization of the nervous system functioning. The substances contained in bananas boost the production of serotonin – the “happiness hormone”. They raise mood and evoke a sense of wellbeing and calmness.


There was a survey conducted in Argentina, during which the women who volunteered were supposed to start their day with a banana. In three months, all the participants, without exception, lost weight, although they did not stint in food.
