The fewer natural teeth you have, the greater may be your risk to develop coronary disease or suffer heart attack, according to scientists from the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. They observed 7,000 patients, who suffered periodontal tissue disease that leads to loosening of the teeth, for the period of 12 years.
Data analysis revealed that risk of death from heart attack in people who have fewer than 10 natural teeth is 7 times higher than in those who have more than 25 natural teeth.
