The new Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection by Marc Jacobs is featured in the new advertising campaign of the brand. The brand’s creative director Marc Jacobs invited his friend, photographer Juergen Teller, to work at the shooting.
The creative duo has become traditional for the fashion house. That’s why the designer and the photographer who perfectly understand each other gave the result, which fully embodied the artistic idea.
The main characters of the shooting were models Marie Piovesan and Marte Mei van Haaster. The girls wearing theatrical make-ups reminded of Tim Burton’s favorite actress – Helena Bonham Carter. They demonstrated the outfits from the Marc Jacobs FW 2012-2013 collection presented at New York Fashion Week. The outfits corresponded to the fairy-tale atmosphere of movies by Burton.
So, let us enjoy the eclectic Victorian motifs and fantasy elements of the designer dresses. The pictures show voluminous wide Edwardian hats of natural fur, fabrics woven with metallic threads, shimmering brocade dresses and shoes from pages of Grimms’ fairy tales – with round noses and big buckles; sheared fur coats and short capri pants.
