Christian Louboutin made it clear he was not going to lower his prices even in this crisis. Swedish brand H&M offered the designer to collaborate on a lower priced collection, which he refused. Obviously, the prominent designer recoiled at the idea his famous red sole shoes would be available on the mass market.
Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti chimes in with his compatriot, thinking it would be unacceptable for him to dilute his brand.
Good news there are differently-minded designers in the world of high fashion. Jimmy Choo created an exclusive shoe collection for H&M and brought out his debut clothing line.
