From the 14th through the 16th of October, Paris hosted the annual chocolate trade show Salon Du Chocolat Paris 2009 where chefs from all over the world come to compete in their culinary prowess. This was the 15th exhibition which is held annually to support charity organization Voices for Children.
According to chocolate makers, global financial crisis boosted their sales. Experts say people tend to eat their stress away.
During the exhibition, a chocolate fashion show began with models hitting the catwalk wrapped in chocolate. Chocolate was used to make dresses, hats, beads and other accessories.
Models, actresses and opera singers tried on the dresses from “sweet collection” that nearly melted beneath the lights.
