In 2013, iconic artist Andy Warhol would have celebrated his 85th birthday. To commemorate this significant date and just to give tribute to the founder of Pop Art, Raf Simons included a series of original handbags with graphic prints into the new collection of Christian Dior Fall 2013 accessories.
The early works by Andy Warhol, created in the middle of the 20th century, formed the basis of the series of accessories. Stylized images decorated everyday handbags and evening clutches of the new Dior collection. The fashionable graphics was used for the first time on Lady Dior bags. Their pastel colors are designed to emphasize the originality of the graphics in the new fall season.
