Tan to Hold Back Aging

Tanning WomanUp till now tanning has been considered unhealthy since the procedure can induce development of malignant cells in the body. Today, however, British scientists found out that some benefits from tanning do exist – production of vitamin D. Production of the substance is induced by the sun rays and it acts as an agent holding back the aging process of cells and tissues.

This fact was verified by scientific studies. The studies showed, that there is a direct link between the level of vitamin D in the body and the DNA damage rate, which is related to aging. It was observed that people who have higher levels of vitamin D, in fact, age slower. In addition, it became clear why the vitamin has a protective effect against various age linked diseases (such as cancer, heart conditions etc.)
