Scientists from England has managed to find the fastest way to get rid of stress. It turns out it is enough just to open a book to relieve stress!
Researchers from the University of Sussex proved that reading books is the most reliable way to overcome a stressful situation and this method works perfectly as much by 68% reducing the level of cortisol (hormone stress), normalizing the heart rate and muscle tone. In addition, reading works much faster than a soothing music, a walk in the open air or a cup of mint tea.
Cognitive neuroscientist David Lewis believes that it does not matter what kind of book to read to get rid of stress provided it is interesting.
