Celery and Parsley Help Fight Breast Cancer

The researchers from the University of Missouri have discovered that apigenin is an element that is abundant in celery, parsley, and other greens, as well as in nuts and fruits. It is believed to block the growth of breast cancer tumors.

When a tumor is formed, it gradually gets covered with a network of capillaries that are necessary for its development. Apigenin blocks the formation of capillaries, and the tumor stops growing.

Unfortunately, it cannot prevent the formation of the tumor. Also, the scientists have not yet been able to calculate the required therapeutic dose of parsley or celery. Nevertheless, all women can be advised to add some celery or a few sprigs of parsley to every meal. No side effects of such “parsleytherapy” are guaranteed.
