The name Manhattan derives from Manna-hata, which in Lenape language means “island of many hills”, as it was written in the 1609 logbook of Robert Juet, an officer on Henry Hudson’s yacht named “Half Moon”. When I look at these beautiful photos, I regret living in the city, far from fresh mountain air, really large lakes and fast mountain rivers. I wish I had a teleport to bring me there at least for a moment. But now I can only enjoy these pictures. The views are magnificent – you’ll surely like them, too.
I haven’t seen really high mountains “live” a lot. Maybe, this is why pictures with mountains, as it’s often sung in songs, literally take my breath away. Just look at these photos – aren’t these mountains magnificent? Don’t they make you want to go there some day by all means? As for me, it is so.
