Due to phytoestrogen, soya beans can return the youthfulness of the skin and reduce wrinkles.
The clinical trials, involving approximately 2,000 women aged 50 to 65 and conducted in 2011, showed that this substance helps to increase the production of collagen, the protein that gives the skin its firmness and elasticity. However, it is produced less with age.
Plant hormone inhibits the enzymes that cause depletion of collagen in the skin and stimulates the production of new collagen. The tests showed that applying two or three drops of phytoestrogen, extracted from soya beans, twice a day in the eye area during the period of one month, 53% of the participants of the experiment reported a marked decrease in wrinkles and improvement of the skin quality.
Its effect is especially noticeable in the women experiencing menopause. The experts have discovered that the molecules of the substance are structurally very similar to estrogen and are therefore similar in their action to the hormone replacement therapy (HRT), reducing the frequency and intensity of hot flashes, but without the unpleasant side effects.
