Frequent hair combing, especially at the beauty salons, can lead to hair loss. Such conclusion was made by an Israeli dermatologist Alexander Kidman. He conducted a study for one month and determined that the more we comb our hair, the more hair we lose.
Fourteen women participated in the study. They were asked to count how many times they comb their hair every day and how much hair they shed. Kidman noted, that women who comb their hair twice a day lose three times more hair than those who do it only once a day.
Perhaps, the famous medical dogma, which says that frequent combing of hair provides scalp massage and in turn boosts blood circulation and reduces hair loss will be soon replaced by a new, radically different one.
