Probably, it is logical for me because it is so in my family, besides, my mother had the same role in the family. Can it be that the way your wife's mother behaved was exactly the same as your wife's? Did you try to change it somehow? Oh my God, really? This must be pretty difficult for you!

My wife is an absolute slob. If I didn't clean up everything in the house, goad her to pick up her clothes and sort them for washing, wash the dishes myself and put them away, cook, throw out the garbage and recycling and fix everything that is broken around the house the place would be a completly filthy non-working shambles and every meal would be delivered.
