British survey found a fifth of brides in the UK gained 22 lbs within their first year of marriage. The reasons are simple, human laziness and lack of foresight.
42 percent of those polled admitted they simply decided to relax. 22 percent reported they no longer felt they need to care about their appearance now the goal was achieved. While 25 percent of brides attributed their weight gain to “post wedding depression” so they indulged in comfort eating, feeling sorry that their big day had passed and would never happen again.
Researchers conclude that the common trend is that women are getting ready for their wedding as if it was the only crucial event in their lives, but then, many of them will stop to care. That’s what probably causes divorce.
