Dear friend,
Like Jenn said this article seems to be one sided as it addresses wives and not husbands. However, I am fully convinced that husbands can wisely resource from it wonderful highlights about how better they can relate to their wives. In fact both wife and husband has a big role to play in order to strengthen and upkeep marital relationships. Paul advises that every person should consider others greater than her or him. In applying this to marriage, no one of the spouses is exempted but it demands humility and sincererity. Husband and wife need to be open to each other, and make sure that they communicate regularly to make necessary updates. They should also be characterized by repentance and forgiveness irrespective of the matter they may be dealing with. We all should understand that no person is perfect as much as no one is useless, and thus try our best to bear with each other. For that case, we should also search for something we can learn of benefit from our spouse. This will enable us to honor each other. In all this we must have time to read and meditate the word of God together, and listen to him in prayer. This discipline will train us to rely on God and obey him in all our endeavors. May God guide us as we join our efforts to make our marriage a success. I am Phineas, married to Rosemary with four children: Roselyne, Joshua, Christopher and Joseph. We live in Rwanda in the capital (Kigali) in Eastern Africa. God bless you indeed.
