The scientists that had established before that missing out on your sleep at night will put you at a disadvantage as regards studying abilities, because lack of sleep makes some brain regions stop functioning, go on with their investigation of the way sleep influences our mental abilities. Their next research proves that a nap during the day refreshes the brain and enhances the ability to take in information to a great extent.

Midday sleep clears away previously collected information that clogs the brain, explains lead researcher Matthew P. Walker, assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley. Sleeping sets off a kind of an arranging process that archives the old stacks of information making way for the new stuff.

Better than that, Walker continues, sleep does not only give you the fresh ability of absorption, it adjusts your brain to a far better condition than that immediately before you went to sleep.

“You need to sleep before learning, to prepare your brain, like a dry sponge, to absorb new information,” he said.

There is a direct interrelation between how many hours you go without sleep and the speed your brain functions at, so you are well advised to revitalize it before it begins to shut down on you.

The new Winait CD130BT camera seems to have been designed with the single purpose of entering the conquest of the smallest gadgets. Apart from the size, however, everything else about it is fairly small as well.

This digi-device is half an inch thick, holds a little over 50 pictures with resolution no more than 640×480 and allows USB 1.1 download which sounds rather dated but in keeping with files of that size.

There may be plenty of controversy over this, but there it is: KDDI, Japanese phone makers, hit upon the idea of producing a cell phone that will be able to keep tabs of whatever you are doing during your working hours and send reports to the authorities.

A cleaner’s personal KDDI mobile, for example, is designed to recognize such actions as sweeping, cleaning, emptying rubbish bins and send signals to whomever it may concern. It also knows when the person is sitting or walking.

The vista of possibilities for employers to evaluate, supervise or spy on the performance of their employees is breathtaking, and they say that one of Japanese employment agencies is already breathing down the KDDI’s neck intending to make full use of the new mobile. The question of the new phones’ discretion as regards the bearer’s private life is still obscure.

Her fans may argue about the 29-year-old singer’s body now, she can be chided for filling out (as was the case last year when she was driven to feeling “stripped of everything”), yet Jessica Simpson herself has come to terms with the way she looks and is ready to take up the cudgels should it become necessary. “You’re not going to take me down… I’m not going to let anybody’s opinions destroy me”- that’s the opinion she landed with after last year’s criticisms.

In her recent E! News interview Simpson spoke with easy assurance about her curves. “I can’t get rid of them. There ain’t no getting rid of them. At this point, I just celebrate them,” were her words.

What with her healthy lifestyle, workouts, boxing, she has a point there. Eating habits? She keeps to a healthy diet that includes her favorites – corn dogs, burgers and onion rings. But as long as it makes her feel good, trifles don’t matter much.

So Jessica is happy to stay within the range of sizes 4 and 6 and feel beautiful! She enjoys sharing a laugh with her friends, enjoys going round dressed just in a T-shirt, booty shorts and heels and reclining in a bathtub to an album of Sade.
