First Lady Michelle Obama made her order from French designer Robert Clergerie. It is not the fact of White House’s individual order that was interesting but rather what was actually ordered. Michelle asked the shoe designer to make a pair of thigh-high leather boots.
Barack Obama’s spouse emphasized she wanted a pair with flat heels because she is not so fond of wearing heels. In addition, Michelle Obama ordered another pair of knee-high boots in soft beige buckskin for more everyday occasions.
Both pairs are expected to arrive to the US in a couple of weeks.
Among Robert Clergerie’s clients were Madonna, Bianca Jagger and French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.
