Three standard meals a day contribute to weight loss more than the popular diet of small portions. Fat people sitting on high-protein diet think less about the food when eating a full breakfast, lunch and dinner, and not when biting six times a day.
It seems none of these small portions of which there is so much talk are too beneficial when it comes to controlling appetite, said Dr. Heather Leidy of the University of Missouri.
Giving preference to the traditional diet, people feel more satiated in the evening and at night, and therefore think less about food. However, Leidy stressed this does not apply to a standard protein diet.
