When you're 22, 'extra skin' can go away rather quickly - just think of women who give birth - their belly skin stretches so much, but in several months the belly looks good again! And you simply lost weight, you weren't pregnant (with all those body changes). Follow the tips from the article to fix it. And it's better to avoid too quick weight loss, as it can cause some health problems, stretch marks and make the skin less toned. As for the stretch marks, they will actually never disappear, but with the time they normally get less noticeable. Just take a proper care of your skin and lose weight gradually.

Lindsay,
Yes, I only had this problem on my stomach (I hate it!) That is about it. I still have a bit more fat I want to lose and I hope I can tighten up with more weight training and cardio exercise. I also started to use this essential oil mixture that is supposed to tone and tighten your skin, get rid of celullite, etc. How much weight have you lost?

Robin, I am in my mid 20's. Did you have any flabby or saggy skin after you lost that much weight.

Neat post and kudos for discussing so many different options. I tend to believe that you can lose weight at a gradual, yet fairly rapid clip and avoid sagging skin by developing a good workout routine during the process. Exercise isn't necessarily the easiest solution, but it does seem to be the most efficacious.

Very useful post, thank you. I have been wondering about this for years, as I did lose 60 pounds when I was in my late twenties. Thanks again!
