The reality show about losing weight The Biggest Loser is successfully broadcast on American television. Its participants lose weight under the supervision of nutritionists and trainers. One of the trainers is Bob Harper, the man, who is able to make anyone get slimmer. How does he do it? Bob has revealed a few secrets for losing weight in a special video.
Bob Harper is the author of his own book called The Skinny Rules, in which he outlined a few basic rules of weight loss. The trainer has developed a simple system that will be useful to anyone who wants to look their best during the beach season.
1. Drink Water
Water is a miracle of miracles that can transform your figure. Every morning should start with a large glass of water. Please note that these are not two small forced sips, but a large glass! This will start the process of metabolism. You should also drink a glass of water before each meal: this simple rule allows you not to overeat.
2. Consume Proteins
Eat as much proteins as possible. Eat protein foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but, of course, you should not forget about carbohydrates and fats. Proteins are found primarily in meat, poultry, fish, milk, nuts, and beans.
3. Don’t Drink Beverages Containing Sugar
Do not drink your calories! What does this mean? It’s simple: when on the run, we often buy a drink like coffee (of course, it goes with various additives in the form of sugar, syrup, cream, etc.), or soda. They usually contain a record number of calories we consume without noticing.
4. Know What You Eat
Read all the information on the packaging of the food you buy. This is especially important at an early stage of losing weight. You should be interested in all that is printed in small letters: the composition, the amount of calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Gradually, you will begin to understand what this or that food is like, which food should be abandoned, which foods should be consumed more often. It will help you gain basic knowledge of what you eat each day.
5. Eat What You Want Once a Week
Arrange the “holiday of food” once a week. This is the last rule in Bob’s book, but he calls it one of the most important rules. If you constantly live as your trainer and nutritionist say, you will fail sooner or later. To avoid this, do not go too far: one meal a week can be arranged the way you wish. Just remember: this is not one day (when you can eat whatever you like), but only one meal!
