The application for the patent was filed a few years ago. The new invention promised a reliable prevention of greying hair. Now it has happened – L’Oreal has registered a patent, and we have to wait for the release of the new-technology product.
L’Oreal does not mention the exact date of the new product to appear on the store shelves. It is still unclear what kind of product it will be: BAD or hair mask.
The patent is No. 8,445,004 B2, its official scientific name sounds rather complicated: “Administration of agents mimicking dopachrome tautomerase (TRP-2) activity for protecting hair follicle melanocytes.” But in spoken language, this may sound as follows: “the secret weapon that will prevent grey hair.”
And, as previously reported, we are speaking about the prevention of grey hair. If it already appeared, only dyeing will do.
