Chord Overstreet No More a Glee Part?

Season three will bring some changes to the glee club of William McKinley High School, and gleeks are out for the casting news, especially after one of the creators Ryan Murphy said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show last month that it was time for some of the characters to graduate. They are not going to keep students in school for eight years, the creator quipped.

So who’s to be played up and who’s to be played down? Fox’s rep gives some of the answers.

First, Chord Overstreet, last season’s guest star as transfer student Sam Evans, is not going to be a series regular in the upcoming season – although the reason behind the decision was not given.

The 22-year-old actor made a supposed comment on his fade-away in a Twitter message saying that he had enjoyed his year, but it’s over and time for him “for summer and starting fresh.”

TV Line, the first harbinger of the news, quotes a source connected with the show who said that Overstreet might come on the show as guest star from time to time.

The lucky guys who will be stealing the limelight in the upcoming season are crooner Blaine Anderson played by Darren Criss and dancing machine Mike Chang played by Harry Shum Jr.
